Pop it or Toss it!:Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart

Image result for jack and the cuckoo clock heart

What an appropriate title for a movie with such heart... and so cuckoo.

Here is a movie with a very unique flavor, that is basically an hour and half metaphor for love. Now let me warn you...when I saw this movie is unique, I mean it's weird enough that it makes The Boxtrolls look like The Common White Girl [I mean that all with humorous intentions ;-)].

Pop it?: This is a very original movie. It took a lot of imagination to create such a movie. The story was great, and the ending was incredible!

I personal found the character Madeline very interesting and very well acted.

It was unpredictable, and a had a very heart warming (no pun intended) story.

Toss it?: The 'love' story behind it WAS TOO dramatic, and far fetched. The characters start out only 11, and 'fall in love' at first sight. Not to mention the fact that they are voiced by 30-something year olds.

The songs weren't that much. I did like loco- locomotive, but I found the other songs hard to enjoy.

The animation wasn't much eye candy...I know, I know, never judge a book by its cover...But I really didn't like their faces! Sounds harsh, maybe, but this is an animated film. Looks are, well, quite a lot.

The whole story of love, and how the clock was practically a metaphor for a heart, was really cute and clever. But they should've been a little more subtle with it...sometimes it was so blatantly obvious that it was cringe-worthy.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING!!! Reader's Choice is comin' up soon by the way!
