Animation Domination!: Minions vs. Snoopy vs. King Kong!

Hello there! To any all who read'th thine blog!

There's no doubt that the minions from Despicable Me are popular. With their goofy goggles and love of bananas, they're just flat out awesome. I mean look at it…LOOK AT IT. So it's no wonder that they're getting their own movie. I have no doubts that these guys won't be able to entertain me for an hour and a half. Here's the trailer for those who haven't seen:

If any of you haven't heard, they're making a new Peanuts movie. It will be out in thetas this May, and will be 3D animation…sort of.

When I first heard of this movie a while back while I was IMBD surfin', I wasn't quite sure what to expect. We all know and love the classic Charlie Brown charm, with the music we all recognize, those classic dance moves, the deep thought provoking discussions at the wall, and of course…The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! We've also experienced reboots, or quote-on-quote "reboots", were all the filmmakers really do is put characters that (somewhat) resemble the character its supposed to be, and put in our world. Which the kids love, and all those crazy nostalgic fans HATE! Anyway, I thin this movie is gonna keep a good balance of satisfying both the kids of today, and the fans. Why? It's all in the animation.

This animation is GORGEOUS! It is a unique blend of traditional 2D & 3D animation. It has the bright colors to appeal to the young audience of today, and keeps the traditional style that so many people miss. When I first saw the trailer, it totally felt like a Peanuts film. From the movement of the animation, and the characters facial expressions. Here's the trailer:

Speaking of animation, I have something I've been meaning to post. One day I was searching for upcoming movies. I've come across some pretty cool ones (which I'll tell you about another time). One I'm real interested in, is about one of our favorite movie legacies of all time…King Kong. I'm not talking about the upcoming Skull Island film, I'm talking about the animated one. You heard me. The animated one. Supposedly it is an animated take on the classic film, told from Kong's point of view. I thought it sounded like a risk, but a risk worth taking. I think it is an uber cool idea, and a question many of us have asked. When I was little, I was a HUGE Godzilla fan (still am. In fact, i'm surprised I haven't mentioned it on m'blog yet). And I always imagined him as a character, not a monster. Who had his on thoughts, and was WAY cooler than ANY character that would ever be in the same movie as him. And to have a King Kong movie like that, is just too cool for me.

My sister on the other hand, (who is a huge King Kong fan), is totally not with the idea. She doesn't think its marketable. Too childish for grown ups, and not quite the kids movie that typically makes big bucks. I agree, it does seem like it could be hard to sell…Here's the link where I found it: www.comingsoon.net/movie/king-kong-animated-film

I wanna know what you guys think of it. Do you think it's a good idea, or not? Any thoughts can be posted in the comment section! Also the poll is still up, and keep an eye out for m'post on Interstellar!
