Pop it or Toss it!: Hunger games: Mockingjay Part One

Hey Everyone!

Today I saw Mockingjay, and I'm here to tell you about it! But before we get started, if you have not seen this movie, STOP RIGHT HERE. YOU MAY COME BACK AND READ AFTER YOU HAVE, BUT I WILL NOT SPOIL THIS FOR ANYONE. EVEN THOSE WHO'VE READ THE BOOKS.


Now that that's out of the way…

I loved this movie. I am a fan of The Hunger Games, I feel like they do a really good job with the movies. I didn't know what to expect from this one. I haven't read any of the books, but I've heard a fair share of spoilers. I wasn't quite sure what would happen in this one, since it is the first one in the series to not have an actual Hunger Games take place.
Pop it:

This movie had plenty of parts of it that I enjoyed. Some that were funny, and some that made you make very interesting sounds. (by that I mean gasps and oohs and aahs). I thought it was absolutely hysterical when Katniss was 'acting', and it seemed more like goofy ole' J.Law, than the girl on fire. Or when they were playing with the cat. Or just anything with the cat. CATS RULE. Or the coolest scene…was at the end. That shot with Katniss' bloodshot eyes in the reflection, and Mutt-Peeta struggling in a straight jacket. That.Was.Cool. It really showed what was going on in the movie, with all the cruel and sick (as in bad) things happening.

It was a powerful movie in my opinion. One of the powerful points was Katniss. She's just an awesome character. Personally I like Jennifer Lawrence's screams. They are so discomforting, and powerful. And not annoying. I mean GEESH, we've all heard those annoying screams were you just want to punch them in the face. But not in this movie. Another thing about Katniss is that she is real. Of course not everyone's got what it takes to be the mockingjay. But she's not perfect, unlike some characters were the worst possible things happen, and they're totally cool with it. But she isn't a crybaby either. When her world was falling apart, she had a very real reaction to it. But she wasn't like in Twilight where Bella cried for months over glitter gloss. I know ripping on Twilight is old, but I can't think of an example that's any more pathetic. 




Toss it:

I know this doesn't really matter, but I felt like the image wasn't as clear as the others. I remember seeing Catching Fire, and thinking the image was SO much cooler than the first one. During this one there were parts that I thought, that it really wasn't all that crisp. Again, it doesn't matter, but I had to put something in the toss it section.
